Summer is going by so quickly. Which by the way is a very good indication that it has also been very enjoyable. I've had toothaches before and they seem to last forever. Life in general seems to go by quicker each day. I suppose I'm enjoying it more than I realize! What's not to enjoy? I have two wonderful daughters that have never given me any trouble to speak of. One of which has snagged an amazing son-in-law. And the other one is a Damsel in waiting whose heart still belongs to me. My wife gives me more happiness than I deserve and less grief than I earn. It is my family that's the root of my shorter days. I long to have as many of them as possible.
This is the motivation of my middle aged crisis. I'm on an adventure to change my career on the downhill side of my life. I've spent 500 or more hours in the last 9 months persuing that change. Well, I reached my first milestone this week when I passed an exam that certifies me as an IT person. I am excilarated but I won't expose it for fear of jinksing it. There is much more for me to do to be satisfied.

Monday, Monday, so good to me
Four am alarm, dress, practice exam, pray, eat, make coffee, kiss wife, drive two hours to work. I worked in Franklin, GA today. It's not much of a town and even less since the four lane by-passed it. It's in a poor county with very little industry. You know it's poor when you pull up to an intersection and there's a squirrl standing on the corner with a sign that reads
"will work for nuts". I will be back there tomorrow for another great day. I wish I had a motorcycle so bad. Two more days until the tornado alley run. Eleven pm, good night.

Come Thou Wendesday
It's Sunday evening and several things are transpiring this week. I get to go back to work, My youngest daughter leaves for Intern she will be dearly missed. My loving wife begins her summer break. There is nothing that matches getting to spend a summer with your best friend. I spend all of my spare time studying for my next IT exam. Oh, by the way congratulations to me I passed my first exam. It was good to have my oldest daughter home for a few hours. We will get to spend a little more time together around the Fourth. I am looking forward to Oklahoma and in-laws. It's turning into quite a fun packed summer. Early Thursday morning we will be keeping it between the ditches on the path to Sooner land.
